Onboarding and offboarding at November Five

Getting laptops ready for new employees and wiping them completely when someone leaves takes a lot of time, as Antwerp digital agency November Five found out. Especially with around 90 employees. That's why we helped them automate these processes.

Strong growth

In recent years, November Five has delivered impressive projects for major companies such as Coca-Cola, Telenet, VRT and Spotify. The digital agency grew exponentially. Growth came so fast that they decided to outsource their IT to an external partner. Product Manager Marc Wojciechowski: "We clicked with Hi-T right away."

Hi-T Scan

Because of the rapid growth, November Five needed a clear overview of all laptops. Which devices were in use, with which configurations, apps and security updates? Marc: "Together with Hi-T, we drew up a thorough inventory. It lets them manage all devices remotely, both reactively and proactively. So we can keep focusing on what we do best."

Onboarding

The inventory was the basis for the next step in efficiency: automating onboarding. Marc: "When a new employee joined, someone from IT used to have to prepare a new MacBook: configure the laptop, install all the necessary apps and updates and create the right accounts. That often took that person all day." Hi-T automated the entire process. When someone starts at November Five today, their laptop is made ready with a single click.

Offboarding

The same goes for offboarding. When an employee leaves the company, they can do so with peace of mind. The laptop is wiped completely so their privacy is protected. All personal settings are reset, all apps removed and the entire device prepared for a new employee.

A lot of time saved

"This automation has saved a lot of time. New employees no longer have to deal with IT on their first day. They can focus straight away on November Five's strategy and the actual work. In the past, they might have spent their whole first week downloading and installing the right applications. Now they can join the project right away."

Monthly updates

Hi-T stays close. We manage November Five's 90 devices remotely. Every month we roll out application updates. Employees get a notification when a new update is available and can install it whenever it suits them. With one click, their laptop is up to date again. Marc: "The big advantage of handing IT over to a specialist is that we have much more time to work on our own projects. We know our IT is in good hands and we're always up to date, which is essential for the security of our company data and users. That gives extra peace of mind on top."
